The Correlation Between Self-Confidence, Self-Efficacy And Speaking Ability

The objectives of the study were to investigate correlation between second-grade students’ self-confidence, self-efficacy and their speaking ability at MA Miftahul Ishlah. This applied a quantitative method with correlational research design. questionnaire documentation as instrument collect data. There two questionnaires that used, was self-confidence questionnaire, while score taken from English teachers’ document. Based on highest result 97 lowest 71, 94 72, for achievement 95 70. After analyzing variable this X1 (self-confidence) X2 (self-efficacy) Y (speaking) by Pearson Product Moment multiple correlations in SPSS program, it found r = .693 self-efficacy, .230 speaking. While showed .701 coefficient determination 46.1%. result, indicated strong, so alternative hypothesis stating Ho rejected Ha accepted, means there ability.
